Guide for new Muslims · 06 · 4 min

The pilgrimage

At least once in a lifetime, for those with the health and means, Muslims make a pilgrimage to Mecca. It is called Hajj, and it is one of the most powerful experiences in a person’s life.

The journey to the Kaaba

In Mecca stands the Kaaba, the simple cube-shaped house that Muslims all over the world face in prayer. During Hajj, millions of people from every land and background gather, dressed in plain white cloth that erases the difference between rich and poor.

Once in a lifetime

Hajj is only required for those with the health and finances for it, and only once in a lifetime. As a new Muslim, this is something you can look forward to calmly — there is nothing you need to arrange now.

Many converts describe Hajj as the day a dream came true. It can happily wait until you are ready.
